Akron, Ohio – WillCo Tech, a leading provider of CyberSTAR, the premier cyber workforce expertise management platform serving the federal government and defense industrial base, is proud to announce the latest addition to its Board of Advisors: Rick Piña, the esteemed Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Inspired Solutions.
Rick Piña brings a wealth of experience and expertise to WillCo Tech, having commenced his illustrious career in the United States Army. He served for 25 years, culminating his tenure in the Pentagon as the Army’s first Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Following his distinguished military service, Mr. Piña joined Worldwide Technology (WWT), where he significantly contributed over eight years in various roles, including as the Chief Technology Advisor for the Public Sector and the AVP of Advisory Services for the Public Sector. His leadership at WWT involved guiding federal, state, and academic institutions through complex technology solutions, ranging from data and digital strategy to AI/ML platforms and multi-cloud architectures.
Recognized for his leadership, Mr. Piña has been honored by FedScoop as one of the Best Bosses in Federal IT and named among the 100 most influential Hispanic leaders in technology in the United States by HITEC. His commitment extends beyond professional spheres, as he and his wife Isabella actively contribute to non-profit initiatives, mainly focusing on serving the underprivileged in the Caribbean.
Holding an M.B.A. and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trident University, Rick Piña is also a distinguished member of the U.S. Army Signal Regiment and a recipient of the Signal Corps Regimental Association’s Silver Order of Mercury award.
